Making Healthy Choices in 2012.

Don't smoke and avoid second hand smoke.
If you smoke, get help to quit if you can't stop on your own. Smoking is the major cause of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and lung cancer. It is also a major cause of heart attack and stroke. It's never too late to quit and reduce the risk.

Do physical activity everyday.
Find an activity you like and get going. Your heart is a muscle that needs regular exercise to stay healthy. Exercise will also make it easier to maintain your body weight. Ask your healthcare provider about a good exercise plan.Exercise and friends are a great mix.Try joining or start a walking group with other people in your neighborhood. The local gym is a good place too.

Eat healthy foods and supplements.
Following a healthy balanced diet can help you to maintain a healthy weight, lower your cholesterol and reduce your risk for disease. Choose high fiber, lower fat foods and 5-10 servings of fruit and vegetables every day. Balance your daily meals with foods from the four food groups and take supplements such as vitamins E, B, C, etc... Most of the foods are deficient in nutrients due to the manufacturing procasses used today. Here's my recommendation as to where to purchase high quality supplements at great prices.
